Location

From the road that goes from Ponts to Calaf, located near kilometre 4, at the crossroads that leads to Cabanabona and Guissona, we will follow this road and just after crossing the bridge over the river Llobregós, at 250 metres to the left we will head towards the Torre del Baró and the Mas d'en Bru; from there a track leaves in a S direction parallel to the road and after about 500 metres places us at the foot of the hill of the Torre dels Moros; one must follow the path that climbs it and, almost reaching the summit, in the middle of the path and at the bottom of a trench, the cavity opens.

Description

Morphology

An entrance of 0.4 x 0.4 metres that gives way to a small shaft 4 metres deep; at one end of the base the point of maximum depth is reached, 4.5 metres.

No survey is available.

History

Explored by the SIE del CEA in 1971.

According to the latest information, near this cavity were the Forats nº 1 Nº 2 and Nº 3 de la Costa dels Moros; these were located on the N slope of the Calaf to Ponts road, just opposite the crossroads with the Cabanabona and Guissona road. When the road-widening works were carried out, it seems that these three cavities were destroyed.
