Description

Morphology

Fissure 22 metres long. From the upper lip it has a depth of -11 metres and from the lower lip just -5 metres. It is on this side that the cavity continues, being a turn formed by the fissure.

Progression

By means of some blocks one reaches a 2-metre step, at the end of which begins a gallery that, after climbing a few metres at the final part, ends up becoming impassable. At the base of the previous step, the entrance to a narrow 6-metre-deep pit opens, at the base of which we find the floor of this gallery, 12 metres long and 1 metre wide, full of stones and clay from the exterior, ending collapsed by sediments.

History

Known forever by the residents of la Palma de Cervelló under the name les Esquerdes. The first exploration seems to have been carried out by members of the GEIS of the Centre Ciclista Excursionista de Sants in 1974. At the end of the following year the CE Molins de Rei unsuccessfully attempts to clear the final part of the cavity.
