Characteristics

Location

The wood of la Lleberida lies on a spur above a tributary ravine in the Coma Negra. To ascend it, take the path that leaves from the Tres Pins restaurant in Margalef and crosses the Sant Salvador ravine. After some cultivated terraces, it climbs up until it changes slope. The well-marked path continues deep into the valley of the Coma Negra. After passing a slippery stretch, it climbs steeply again. Here, before the first bend, a very faint trail leaves beside a charcoal kiln and descends right to the thalweg of a dry gully, then gains height up to a scree slope without vegetation. From here you must continue to the left, trying to follow the trail through the dense vegetation until it leads us to a broad charcoal kiln. The holes of la Lleberida open about fifty metres on, following the plateau as best one can, slanting towards the ravine we came from. The narrow and long blowing fracture lies almost at the upper part of the ravine, resting on a small crag. Approximate coordinates without much reliability.
