A 19-metre-deep pit at the Pla dels Estanys (Albanyà), located and explored by the GEB on 22 May 1993.

Characteristics

Location

It is located in the S of the Pla d'Estanys, on the slope of the Baga del Ginebret. The GEB places it at the same coordinates as the Forat de la Baga del Ginebret 8, but with a height difference of 18 metres. Approximate coordinates with no reliability at all.

Description

Morphology

A 19-metre-deep pit.

Speleothems

It is one of the few cavities in the serra de la Tossa that enjoy lithogenic formations.

Progression

Access is via a 2.40-metre drop; after a steep ramp we reach a shaft of a little more than 7 metres.

History

Located and explored by the GEB on 22 May 1993.
