Location

The approach can be made by going up the path that leads towards the ravine, when little remains to reach the confluence of the corners that form the head of the barranc de la Taverna. The path is almost level with the torrent; crossing it we reach a hill with a cliff below the cova del Teix, which forms the corner of the cova de l'Ascla. We will continue above the barranc de la Taverna in the direction of the reservoir where we will find the cracks that form the entrance. Approximate coordinates.

Description

Morphology

The cavity has two entrances that open onto the cliff of the ravine, both narrow enough. Both one and the other are about 6 metres and lead to a wide and high chamber with a ceiling and a floor full of blocks, from which two galleries emerge. One is ascending, reaching a small landing with a bend to the right where the continuation is closed. The second gallery also leaves the chamber, descends in a N. direction and becomes narrow; on the left a crawlway will lead us to the deepest part of the cavity.

One gallery is ascending, finding some parietal formations.

History

The first exploration data were provided by the GELL in 2001.
