Characteristics

Location

The easiest access is to go up the barranc de la Taverna path, until halfway up and in the middle of a bend on the right, before crossing it, a very steep and lost little path comes out. You have to follow it; this little path crosses a small ravine tributary of the barranc de la Taverna, and continues, first climbing up through the tormos and then along the same ridge until reaching the plateau where the corronyoners are found, the ground is full of fenàs and grass. We are at the height of the avenc del Púdol, which is on our left side but at the Auferí. The cavity is found in the westernmost part of the pla dels Corronyoners, a little higher up, on a hill where there are a couple of pines we will find the funnel-shaped entrance. Description

Morphology

Fissure 21 metres deep. The entrance is funnel-shaped. The initial 10-metre pit leads to a high gallery with a ceiling. In a N. direction the gallery is narrower, and shortly before reaching the end, on the ground a crawlway leads to a small lower chamber full of gravel and with no continuation. Another crawlway on the right leads to a high and narrow gallery of about 20 metres, until reaching a chamber full of blocks with a small pit of doubtful continuation. Continuing through the chamber one reaches a fork of two ascending galleries of approximately 6 and 10 metres.

Progression

Taking advantage of the pine we have nearby we install a rope that will serve us to descend the initial 10-metre pit. Turning back and following the gallery in a S. direction, just when we have passed the pit through which we entered, another crawlway on the right leads to a high and narrow gallery of about 20 metres. Continuing through the chamber we reach a fork of two ascending galleries of approximately 6 and 10 metres where the exploration ends.

History
