Description

Morphology

A forat rodó (round hole) is seen in the middle of the wall at -12 metres depth. Once at the mouth it is immediately clear that the cave has development; one descends through the tunnel and immediately the main chamber is seen. From it a branch goes off to the left that becomes a narrow, flat gallery with rounded pebbles on the bottom; once past the restriction one reaches the other exit of the cave. If instead of following the previous passage we continue forward, the gallery narrows and forms a tunnel that goes up and comes back down. Once the narrow spiral is done, one reaches a small chamber where one can turn around and exit between the rocks through the deeper exit at -19 metres.

Progression

Access was made by going to illa Mateua and from there by scooter to the point where the cave is, passing by la Depuradora and the wall to near Punta Grossa.
