Characteristics

Location

You must go up the Anàs track that leads to the Serra d'Aurati. Once at the top, follow a track towards the Serra Plana (all the way to the end, beside an uncovered shed). Keeping to the same elevation, go as far as the ridge and descend in the direction of Llavorsí (always following the line of the ridge); we will find the cave 15 metres below the ridge of the Serra Plana (western side) and very close to the Roc dels Malls, a point shared by the municipalities of Llavorsí, Ribera de Cardós and Tírvia.

Description

Morphology

A small, practically horizontal cavity with a triangular cross-section in a slate massif; it is 15 metres long.

Other details

It is usually full of skeletons, since animals often go there to die.

History

A cavity long known in the area, but unpublished in speleological terms. In 2018 Joan Manuel Celis López and Miquel Mestre Fillet explored and surveyed it.

There is a legend about this cave that says a hen could pass through to the other side of the ridge (it could not be verified as no hen was available).
