Cova Pigotosa

The cave is located in the Mata-redona area (Montsià). From Sant Carles de la Ràpita one must take the track that goes up the Solito ravine (path to Mata-redona) until reaching the Cocó del Jordi, where we can leave the car. At the second bend, above the Cocó, we leave the main path and climb directly up the steep trail that leads to the Pla de "la Rueda". From here one must follow the path in the direction of la Foradada. Before reaching the top of the ridge we take a turnoff to the right, leaving the PR. The trail begins to turn the mill in the opposite direction to the clock hands. When we are more or less in front of Mata-redona, a small path on the right descends toward the ravine and within a few metres we find the Cova Pigotosa.
