Characteristics

Location

From Can Robert, follow the track that leads to Can Pobla, and once past the burials, turn off to the right, seeking the foot of the cliff, which must be followed as best one can because of the vegetation. Once the torrent de la Querosa has been crossed, one must reach a bend in the cliff where a solitary pine grows, the place where the cavity is found.

Description

Morphology

With its scant one metre of height and little more than 50 centimetres of width, the entrance corridor to the cavity presents itself; the height soon exceeds 2 metres, although the width does not change much. After 6 metres of comfortable passage, we find a small vertical step that is easy to overcome; here we will find the ceiling more than 4 metres above. The widest part of the cave reaches 1.30 metres but lasts very little; after three metres the ceiling suddenly becomes constricted to one metre, while the width narrows to 60 centimetres. The passage that remains to us is constricted and over badly piled rocks and stones, and they become narrower until they close completely.

Speleothems

The entire western side is covered by stalagmitic flowstone, as is the ceiling.

Progression

After 6 metres of comfortable passage, we find a small vertical step that is easy to overcome. The passage that remains to us is constricted and over badly piled rocks and stones, and they become narrower until they close completely.

History

The first data we know of were given by members of the Secció d'Espeleologia del Centre Excursionista de Sabadell, who must have explored it towards the end of the 1960s. Practically forgotten, members of the SIS – CE Terrassa visited it again and surveyed it around the year 2006.
