Location

The cave is located on the coast of L'Escala, on the wall between the island of Mateua and Cala Montgó. On arriving with the scooter from the treatment plant, you must head S towards Punta Trencabraços, staying close to the wall until reaching the Xinxa area, where the cave entrance is.

Description

Morphology

It is a huge, dark entrance that invites you to go in; once inside, the blue of the other entrance is immediately visible again. On the ceiling there are a couple of air bubbles, and on the left a fairly large column where you can pass between it and the wall.

Inside there are 3 secondary galleries on the right wall, but none of them are more than 20 metres long. The total length of the cavity is just over a hundred metres.

Speleothems

At the end of the galleries we find air bubbles and some small concretions.

Hydrology

In gallery 2 there is a bubble that forms a pool where you have to pass almost over the water and it continues until reaching another even narrower bubble.
