Characteristics

From the entrance of the Torredembarra marina, one must follow the road that borders it on the outside, and after about 250 metres we will find an esplanade where, to the southwest, what appears to be a trench indicates the current entrance of the cave.

Description

Morphology

The original entrance was more than 2 metres high, but due to the filling it has been reduced to 0.80 metres, as has the entire initial stretch. Interior chamber of 10 x 9 metres with a final laminator.

History

Known forever by the people of the area. Visited by Jordi Lloret (GEFOMA) around 1974, who, given its situation to the southeast of Cap Gros, names it with this toponym in the note he publishes. In October 1980 it is visited by members of SIRE – UEC Sants, and they already call it by the name of the cove where it was located, de la Pell d'Ovella. Josep Gual (2009) cites the cave by this name in his notes on the toponyms of the Torredembarra rocky area.
