Cova de la Codoleda

Small cave in Matadepera, in the Sant Llorenç de Munt massif, known to hikers since distant times.

Matadepera • Vallès Occidental 7m

Small cave in Matadepera, in the Sant Llorenç de Munt massif, known to hikers since distant times.

Characteristics

Location

At the base of the western crag of the Plecs del Llibre, in Matadepera (Sant Llorenç de Munt).

The best-known route starts from the tanks of the Cavall Bernat residential area, located below the roques de les Onze Hores. The path continues below the crag as a track to a torrent that must be crossed, and then a steep climb is undertaken that leads to the path that goes from Can Torras to the Plecs del Llibre, which must be followed, finding the Avenc de la Codoleda a few metres from it. About 10 m above, after a short scramble, is the cave of the same name.
