Location

We imagine that this cavity is located near the village of Isòvol or the hill of the same name.

In some (relatively recent) documents of an archaeological nature, near the village of Isòvol, mention is made of two cavities unpublished speleologically: Cova del Pep, also indicated on the ICC map on the eastern slope of the Tossal d'Isòvol and which apparently is of small dimensions, and the Cova d'en Toni, near the road and which apparently was, during the decade of the 1980s, the object of looting of its archaeological remains and which subsequently had its entrance blocked by stones and earth. We do not rule out that the Cova d'Isòvol is one of these two cavities.

The coordinates we provide are those corresponding to the village of Isòvol, therefore they have no georeferential value for the cavity. If anyone has information on the matter, we would appreciate their collaboration.

Description

Morphology

Consisting of a single gallery about 17 metres in total length which in the first section presents a height of about 2 metres and an average width of 1.5 metres. The final section is noticeably reduced until it is choked by sediments. Shortly after passing through the entrance portico it presents an ascending conduit of about 5 metres and very narrow in the upper zone (possibly impenetrable) that leads to the exterior.
