Location

In La Pobla de Lillet, we will access via Carrer Àngel Guimerà and continue along Carrer Salvador Torrents until it leads into the street where the cement train passes. We will follow the train tracks towards the N, where we will soon cross a bridge; at the exit of this bridge is the parking area, a little further on we find an industrial building on the right and immediately afterwards, next to the track, we find the arranged entrance of the cave, just in front of a pedestrian traffic light that warns of the train's arrival.

Description

Morphology

Semi-artificial cavity, produced by the widening of a joint, which was used to store tools during the construction of the old factory; it is a descending gallery with a sharp change of direction. A 21-metre-long cave.

History

The arrangement of the cavity is contemporary with the construction of the Artigas factory. At the time and following the exploration carried out in 1980 by the SIEP of the CE Poblet de Barcelona, who made it known, it was named Artigues, when both the name of the factory and the gardens created by Antoni Gaudí, as well as that of the owning family, is Artigas.
