Location

Located at coll del Bram, E of Sant Julià de Cabrera, follow the path with blue marks heading towards Pla del Sitjar until you find the first cavities, located about 500 metres from coll de Bram on the right of the path. From here follow a small path next to the cliff for about 150 metres until reaching the Bora Gran d'en Masallera. The cavity opens 200 metres S of it; follow the cliff in a S direction to the end of the path, then climb through the forest along a small path that leads to the cavity. Approximate coordinates.

Description

Morphology

Fissure with a N-S direction, with an average width of 1.5 metres, which connects with the exterior through two entrances. The one located further S gives way, after a small chamber, to a -8 metre drop that reaches the base of the cavity, totally occupied by blocks, among which a lower gallery opens.

History

All this group of fissures known as les Bores d'en Masallera were explored between 1978 and 1981 by the Grup Espeleològic Mollet, which at the time carried out intense research and exploration work in the Cabrerès area.
