Characteristics

Location

We can leave the vehicle at kilometre 18.35 of the C-233 road between Bovera and la Granadella. From the left side of the road a path sets out that in about 50 metres and overcoming a drop of 20 metres will take us without loss to the rock shelter.

Description

Morphology

The rock shelter is 26 metres wide, 7 metres deep and has an average height of 2 metres. Outside there is a large block that served as a vertex for the construction of a wall that joins the ends of the rock shelter.

Already inside, we find a flat floor and a small wall 6 metres long and a height of 0.50 metres. The SW end is occupied by blocks, as is the NE end, these more recent as indicated by the smoke blackening on the ceiling.

Hydrology

There are also two basins for collecting water.

History

Known and used since ancient times.
