Characteristics

Location

We leave Campgràs and follow the path of the puig la Morella (GR-92). We reach the col (to the SW of the summit) and continue down the track almost as far as the pla del Bruc.

From the col the track descends fairly straight; after about 400 metres it makes a sudden turn to the left and then one to the right, heading straight for the corral del Bruc. We follow a more or less straight stretch, leaving the ruins of a hut on the right until another bend to the right. The track levels out, making a wide left-hand curve followed by another to the right; the track continues straight until reaching a junction. About 30 metres before this junction, on the left we find a wooden pole of the old low-voltage line; standing at the base of the pole, we continue in direction S10E for 35 metres, where we find the entrance of the avenc Raspós Petit or de la Somera, at the beginning of a small flat area. From here we continue in direction S for 12 metres, where we find the cavity behind some Garric bushes.

Description

Morphology

It is a small cavity structured along intersecting joints; it has two small entrances, the one situated further to the NW being the larger (currently 0.70X0.40 m). The smaller entrance is only 0.35X0.40 m.

We enter through the large entrance by means of an R-1.50 metres, where we find a gallery about 0.40 metres wide and 1.40 metres long in a Northerly direction; the cavity appears to continue, but some blocks prevent further progress.

From below the entrance entrance, and in direction S, we find a descending passage where we descend two consecutive R-1 metre. At the second, and slightly elevated and to the side, we find a small step that is the base of the shaft coming from the small entrance.

At the base of the last R-1 mentioned above we reach the first perpendicular joint. To the right it ends at 1 m distance. The new gallery is 1.20 metres high by 0.50 metres wide; continuing to the left one descends a steep slope through a narrow passage. At 1.50 metres we find another joint that crosses. At this point we can hardly move, as the dimensions of the gallery have decreased considerably. Here is the point of maximum penetration in the cavity, -6 m.

Opposite, the gallery ends in little more than a metre. To the left a new joint ends immediately; the cavity should have its logical continuation along the right-hand branch where a current of cool air is perceptible. Unfortunately it is a fissure 0.17 m wide, totally impenetrable; a shot with the “disto” gives -4 m, as it is a small shaft.

History

The first exploration was carried out in 1967 by the GES del CM Barcelonès. Joan Borràs (GES) returned in May 1972 to do the survey. In May 2014 the GE Badalona carried out a survey revision.
