Description
Morphology
The pit can be divided into three different parts. The upper zone is formed by a NE-SW fissure 15 metres long, 1 metre wide and -2 metres deep. At its NE part a shaft of -6 metres opens, followed by a steep slope that penetrates into the second part of the cavity, made up of a gallery parallel to the upper fissure and located at -18 metres; on the SW side it becomes impenetrable after a few metres, while at the opposite end 6 metres can be climbed to reach the third part. This third part is a gallery perpendicular to the previous one, with a rising floor, which emerges again to the outside above the tectonic channel where pit no. 4 de la Boixeda opens.
History
The first news we have of this group of cavities (except no. 9) is that given by members of the ERE – CEC, who explored them in 1972.
