Characteristics

Location

Driving along the road from Alcover to Capafonts (TV 7041), before reaching Mont-ral and a few metres before reaching Km. 10, an asphalted track starts, asphalted at first, which crosses the Pla de les Perdius. We will always continue straight, ignoring the forks, until the track ends in a widening of it in the middle of the forest, on the ridge of the serra d'en Clarà. From this point and in a N direction a path starts that leads us to the avenc del Cabirol; halfway along we find on the left a path recently opened (2018), we must follow it until reaching the cliff, where we find a passage that allows us to descend it; a little further on we find a large fissure inside which the access to the cavity is found.

The avenc M-13 is located 75 metres in a straight line to the W of the avenc de l'Escletxa (M-11). From the upper part of the access rappel to the avenc de l'escletxa, a path has been opened that leads to the path that leads to the avenc M-13.

Description

Morphology

An opening about 4 metres wide but 0.9 metres high at the most accessible point places us in a gallery on a slope that descends until finding a narrow little pit 2.73 metres; passing over this, the gallery continues flat for a little more than five metres until it becomes impassable. Turning back, the gallery passes below the aforementioned little pit until reaching an impassable open passage; behind this passage a fissure of good dimensions is observed that is a collapse.

History

Located by Juli Serrano (SIE-CEA) in May 2018.

The cavity has been catalogued with the initials M-13 to continue with the numbering that the speleologists of the AAEET de Valls carried out in their day in this same area.
