Location

If we follow the path that leads from the Mata to the roca de la Falconera, we will reach the junction with the path that runs along the crest of the Muronell to the Roure del Parrac. About 10 metres to the right, above the junction and in the middle of the wood, is the pit.

Description

Morphology

The pit has two entrances. The lower entrance is larger than the upper one (7 x 3 m).

Progression

The upper entrance leads to a 13-metre shaft that takes us to a chamber 10 by 5 metres and 4 high. The lower entrance, larger than the previous one (7 x 3 m), allows us, by means of a steep ramp, to reach the top of a block wedged in the walls of the shaft. From here we must descend a short drop that leads to the chamber mentioned above.

History

We do not know who carried out the first exploration or when. The oldest news we have is of a visit by members of the GES-CMB (possibly from its Terrassa delegation) in December 1955.
