Characteristics

Location

Following the track that leaves from the coll d'Ordal and heads towards the Plans d'en Ravella, once we have passed the Bosc Glaçat we must take the track on the left and follow it for 200 metres, until the point where it turns to the right. From here you must descend in the direction of the torrent, following a series of waymarkers that we will find along the way, since the old path has been covered by vegetation.

Description

Morphology

The entrance gives access to a 14-metre shaft, the base of which lies in the middle of a gallery whose S end is filled by sediments, while on the N side we find a series of narrow passages with small chambers. At this point is the maximum depth of the cavity at 17.5 metres.

Speleothems

The small chambers are quite decorated and with a large quantity of helictites.

History

Cavity discovered and explored by members of the SIRE - UEC l'Hospitalet towards the end of the 1960s, giving it the name of the founder and committee member of the group in 1966. It went practically unnoticed for many years and was published for the first time in 1980 by members of the SIE-CEA. Formerly at the entrance there was a large block that divided it, but they destroyed it. In 1984 an article was published in the magazine Carbonato number 4 in which they erroneously cited this cavity as Jordi Jerdiell.
