Location

At the Pla dels Codolosos, in the Serra de l'Obac (Mura). Follow the same itinerary as for going to the Coves de Mura, but when you reach the fork to the left that leads directly to the cave, continue upwards until reaching the Pla dels Codolosos and follow it to its S end. The pit is about 20-30 metres to the left of the ridge path and amid a holm oak wood, which makes it difficult to locate.

Description

Morphology

The entrance is 2.5 by 1.2 metres and drops vertically with a 6-metre shaft. A narrow passage with a steep slope leads, via a one-and-a-half-metre drop, to a gallery with a slope opposite to the previous one and which continues in two directions, up and down. The one going up ends after a few metres. The one continuing down is about 7 metres long, with very reduced dimensions and the floor covered with cobbles.

History

It is possibly one of the cavities that Faura in his Recull (1909) mentions as 'Avencs de Mura'. In the Guia Monogràfica de Sant Llorenç del Munt published by the Centre Excursionista de Terrassa (1935) it is already cited by its name and they say it has a depth of a little more than 11 metres, but we have no record of the date of its first exploration.
