Description
Morphology
The mouth is very narrow and allows descent down a shaft of about 5 metres of drop, at the bottom of which a small chamber is formed, where at one end there is a step of about 4 metres that gives access to small lower galleries; at the other end there is another small impenetrable shaft, which communicates with the aforementioned lower level.
History
Located on 31 October 1971 by members of the ERE-CEC who began the work of clearing the mouth. They did not return until 27 December 1975 when M. Ubach, A. Nubiola, C. Tarrés and O. Escolà (ERE - CEC) finished the clearing and were able to make the first exploration. Finally, on 24 October 1976, O. Escolà (ERE - CEC), J. Rosaura and A. Clariana (SIS - CET) explored it again and made the survey (Dades facilitades per Oleguer Escolà). In August 2023 the friend Joan Pallisé tried to locate the cavity to make a visit for biospeleological purposes and it was impossible for him to find it. While talking with people from Astell they informed him that some years ago they flattened the whole field of the Solanet del Sord and the avenc tapat was covered.
