Description

Morphology

The main shaft has reduced dimensions in its first 5 metres, but from this point it gains width where it joins a lateral concavity. At elevation -14.9 there is a ledge and immediately after an aerial shaft of 23.5 metres that takes on a sufficiently wide circular section down to its bottom, at -38 metres depth.

At 3.5 metres above the base of the main shaft, there is an easily accessible window reached by a pendulum, which leads to the base of a shaft parallel to the main shaft; it is a shaft that rises 10.5 metres and re-enters the main shaft through openings that are not passable at ceiling height.

At the SE end of the base of the main shaft, one penetrates laterally into another shaft of more reduced dimensions and 4.3 metres depth where we find a small gallery 1 metre wide, and which ends 2.7 metres further down; this is the deepest point of the pit, at -45 metres; at this point a small sinkhole is hinted at but it would be necessary to clear it.

Speleothems

The lithogenic forms are quite well represented throughout the whole cavity.

History

Discovered and explored by members of GES - CMB in the month of May 1968.

In June 2013 E. Porcel, C. Miranda and J. Sebastià (GE Badalona), carry out a resurvey of the cavity, producing a new survey.

Bio
