Location

From the S side, from the church square, we will follow carrer de la Bassa and take the camí del Castell; at the end of this we will find the Parc de les Olors de la Miloquera and the Mediterranean turtle interpretation centre. From the car park of these, we will head SW, pass over the summit of the Miloquera and, continuing in the same direction, pass the different entrances of the fissure that forms the Miloquera. Once we have reached the entrances of the pou del Pastoret and dels Ossos, we will continue about 70 metres W, where we will find the small entrance of the avenc del Pastor. Approximate coordinates.

Description

Morphology

The entrance of the cavity is small (0.6x0.4 metres) and gives access to a chamber through which a strong draught of air blows. Here begins a ramp with a 35º incline and 24 metres of passage; at this point the cavity branches in two directions. To the NE there is a gallery with a jointed structure and superimposed blocks which, after 45 metres of ascending passage, ends at -7 metres in an impenetrable passage. The other part of the cavity consists of a 49-metre pit in which we find a ledge and a gallery formed by a chaos of blocks; climbing down these, one reaches the bottom of the joint at a depth of -71 metres.

History

We do not know who the first explorers were, but the first documented mention of which we have a reference is that of the Espeleo Club de Gràcia, who explored and surveyed it in 1979.
