Characteristics

Location

On the NE slope of the summit of the Rascler. From the Campgràs one must go up by the road to the radioelectric installations. Once past the barrier and the control hut, one must follow the road on the left. About 130 metres further on, to the right, the sunken doline where the avenc del Mall is found can be seen. To the left we will find a flat doline where, next to the road, the entrance of the avenc de la Perpalina is found.

Currently (2013) we have observed that some absent-minded person has painted at the entrance, with red paint, erroneously the name of "Avenc del Nus".

Description

Morphology

Small pit 22 m deep. Inside an earthy funnel a narrow tube of 5 metres of drop begins, at the bottom of which, through a descending-plan joint and 4 metres of passage, it opens into the upper part of a 15-metre shaft by means of a window extremely difficult to pass due to the narrowness.

Progression

History

Discovered and explored by members of GIE – CE Gràcia towards the end of the 1960s.

About 25 metres to the S. of the avenc del Mall, in the upper part of the doline where the avenc de la Perpalina is found, the Avenc del Nus (- 17 m.) should be found, but all indications suggest that it disappeared with the construction of the road.
