Location

At the Serrat de la Morella, on the S slope of Puig Ginebró. It is located 13 metres to the SW of the avenc de la Rosa.

Description

Morphology

Pit with an entrance of 1.20x0.80 metres. A drop of -1.50 metres places us on a small ledge of 0.80 metres. Another drop of -2.90 metres leaves us at the base of the small shaft and this divides into two: on our right there is a small shaft of -2.10 metres, not passable due to its narrowness (0.80x0.24 m), and on the left another shaft (0.75x0.60 m) allows us to descend to the level -6.50, although the shaft continues to -8 metres we could not descend it to its base, as it is too narrow.

History

This pit was dug open and explored by G.E.A. Badalona - OJE in 1975, marking it with a 1 inside a rectangle.

In 2011 members of the GE Badalona and EG l'Hospitalet surveyed it.

Some absent-minded person has painted at the entrance, in red paint, erroneously, the name “Avenc de Sant Jordi”. The avenc de Sant Jordi is located further to the NE and near Puig Ginebró (la Bola). Moreover, currently (2013) at the entrance the name “16 Jutges” can still be read, quite faded.
