Location

On the BV-4243 road that climbs from Castellar del Riu to the Rasos de Peguera, at kilometre 12.9, 250 metres before reaching the Coll del Sant Crist, on the right of the road a track closed to vehicles starts and in 2.1 kilometres will take us to the Collada dels Rasets, where there is a pool of water for much of the year.

From the Collada dels Rasets we will follow the track uphill towards the S, in the direction of the Torreta dels Enginyers (antenna installation) for 100 metres, we will turn off 18 metres to the left where we will find the Avenc dels Quatre, from this we will head in direction E10N for 42 metres here we will find the collapse where the Avenc del Campament and the Avenc de les Pedres are located. We must continue in direction E for 52 metres to find the avenc de la Nevera.

Description

Morphology

It is one of the many depressions in the area, this one elongated in shape and with a small chamber at its western end from which two small narrow crawls emerge that end within a few metres. The drop is 5 metres (-2/+3).

The survey is exaggerated, since it includes a good part of the open-air depression that is used to access what is really the cavity.

History

The SIRE-UEC de Sants located it on 25 and 26 May 1969, and explored it on 23 and 24 June of the same year.

The GE Badalona during a prospecting campaign carried out during the second half of the 2000s, explored and surveyed it, coming to call it Forat R-2 de Rasets, while Jordi de Valles in the Catàleg Espeleològic de Catalunya Vol. 3, cites it as Forat de la Nevera.
