Location

About 20 metres from the cliff edge of the Muntanya Blanca de Pratdip. From the Avenc de Pratdip or del Pla follow the path to the Pi de la Cruïlla and continue along it in a S direction almost along the cliff edge. When the path curves and continues westwards, continue along a small trail that branches off in a S direction until reaching the pit, easy to locate by the fig tree growing from its interior.

Description

Morphology

Small pit 14 m deep. The 3 by 1.50 metre entrance leads to a single gallery, formed by an open joint running S-N, more or less blocked by wedged blocks and debris that create several steps. A false descending gallery below the entrance mouth leads to the deepest point of the cavity.

History

Known as Avenc de la Figuera by speleologists from Reus since the 1960s although there is no bibliographic reference. Located, explored and surveyed by the SIE-CEA in 1972. Visited and surveyed in 1979 by members of the GES – CM Terrassa.

The ERE – AEC de Reus knew it as Avenc d'en Ramon
