Description
Morphology
The entrance, one metre in diameter, was produced by a collapse, still half held by roots in a very precarious way. This leads to a single 25 m shaft, with a re-belay at -6 m, and which reaches, halfway down the shaft, maximum dimensions of 7.5 x 5.3 m in width. There is a large block wedged 5 m from the foot of the shaft.
The bottom of the shaft is a floor almost 20 metres long and between 1.5 and 2.5 metres wide.
The south side is fairly flat and the ceiling is 11 m high, formed by a sandstone stratum that crosses the entire cavity. On the north side it descends as a ramp to the maximum depth of -30 m, where there is a 6 m high chimney.
Speleothems
The south side is fairly flat and an old, currently dry flood level can be seen, as well as a little flowstone. In this part the ceiling is 11 m high, formed by a sandstone stratum that crosses the entire cavity, and roots hang from it.
Hydrology
The south side is fairly flat and an old, currently dry flood level can be seen.
Other details
Given that the amount of plant detritus is scarce, it is deduced that the opening of the entrance is relatively recent. It is not understood, then, how there is the old skeleton of a wild boar half buried by the blocks.
History
Cavity discovered on 16 May 2022 by Efrén Gaitán, Eva Garcia and Ricard Adan when they were coming down from a climb in that area. That same evening they notified Eduard Badiella (SIS del CE de Terrassa) and the next day, the afternoon of the 17th, they explored and surveyed the pit.
