Avenc de Caferna

To get there we take the track that leaves from the last bend of the road before reaching l'Alzina d'Alinyà; we follow it for about four kilometres to the first col, which is the coll de la Nou. We will follow the track to the next col, which is that of la Maçana; at this point we will leave the track and follow the path that runs parallel to the Rocagelera ravine, which runs to the right of the track heading towards the Coll Duran. The path continues along the right of the valley, heading for Ca l'Andreu, which is sheltered beside a cliff. A few hundred metres further on we come upon a pronounced ravine. The Rocagelera ravine is separated from the Forn i Caferna ravines by a narrow strip of land; it is in this stretch that the cavity is found. To facilitate access at this point below the path, some red marks lead along an old trail to the mouth of the pit, which is right next to the little path. (data from 1998).
