Characteristics

Location

From the E side of Can Pèlags we will go to the water tanks behind the house. From here we will see a ridge that climbs up to the cingle de l'Esquerda; we will follow this ridge for 400 metres and when the forest ends and the patches of rock begin, about 150 metres before arriving below the cingle we will move to the right (towards the Canal de Roca Petanta) to go and look for the pit about 30 metres below the crest line, just where a small holm oak grove begins.

Description

Morphology

With an earthy, elongated entrance (1.5 x 1 m) through which one enters a narrow 6 metre deep shaft, developed along a N30E-S30O joint. The base is slightly inclined towards the S and its dimensions are 2 by 1 metre.

History

Located by a gentleman surnamed Pereira who accompanied members of the GES – CMT and the SIS – CET, who carried out the first exploration on 22 September 1984.
