El Cogul, a municipality in the comarca of the Garrigues, has 3 inventoried caves, all of them catalogued as a Cova. Together they total 14 metres of passage and reach a maximum depth of 1 metre. The lithology recorded in all three cases is sandstone.
The longest cave is the Cova de Baladrons, with 6 metres, followed by la Cova, with 5 metres, and by la Roca dels Moros, with 3 metres. As for depth, the Cova de Baladrons has 1 metre, while la Cova and la Roca dels Moros record 0 metres. La Roca dels Moros preserves rock paintings of Levantine art, with some 52 human and animal figures, as well as Iberian and Latin inscriptions.
