Descrizione
Morfologia
The entrance mouth is elongated, about 5 metres long by 1.5 wide, and is largely blocked by boulders. The entrance shaft is 20 metres deep and at its base a descending gallery originates, about 25 metres long with a section that oscillates between 3 and 5 metres wide and is largely covered by boulders and a large quantity of guano from the choughs that nest inside it.
Established in a fracture with an N-S direction and with an important clastic process.
Progressione
Once at Coll de Jovell, we will take the GR 150.1 which climbs, laborious and direct towards the Serra del Cadí, crossing in its upper part some rocky stretches that can hinder progression for those less accustomed to this type of terrain until reaching the height of 2350 metres, and having overcome the 560 metres of elevation gain that there are up to the most grassy area of the Planells de Munt (or the Planells de Josa according to the ICGC), where the GR is marked with stakes. Here we will turn right, levelling out, to find the Grallera Petita del Boixeder after about 240 metres of having left the GR.
Storia
During the fever for the search of the phantasmagorical gouffre de la Sorcière (S.C. De Saint-Pons, 1964), there were many sweeps that were made in the following years across the serra del Cadí.
One of the first was led by Francisco (Helios) Chavarria (GES - CMB), Oleguer Escolà (ERE – CEC) and A. Escolà, Oleguer's father, who went as a companion. On 28 June 1965 and before the accident-prone exploration of the grallera gran they carried out the first exploration of the grallera petita, which at that time they called Grallera nº 2 de Josa.
During the campaign that the SIRE – UEC Sants carried out in August 1968 it was explored again and the only topography we know of was surveyed.
