Località

On the T-3225 road heading towards Siurana, at kilometre point 6 a track branches off to the north-west linking Siurana with Prades; 2.1 km before a fork we leave the car. We continue eastwards through a wood until we reach the crest of the Tossal de Cantacorbs, where the avenc del Tossal de Cantacorbs pit opens; just three metres to the north is the entrance of the cova Tossal de Cantacorbs.

Morfologia

It is a clastic cavity; from the entrance a ramp leads to a small chamber, at the back on the left a climbable-down narrow section appears, and after a turn to the right it becomes impenetrable.

Storia

In the last entry of the field notebook of the geospeleologist Joaquim Monturiol an enigmatic Avenc de Cantacorbs pit was mentioned, of which nobody knew anything. Discussed with Andreu Pallisé, he began to search the surroundings of the Mas de Barba, locating the avenc del Tossal de Cantacorbs pit; later, in the explorations carried out by the GIEM, the cave was located.
