Località

About Km 4.5 of the BP-2126 road is the urban centre of L'Avellà, in the municipality of Font-rubí, from which an uphill path leads NW to the font del Joncar.

The cave is about 40m NE of the font del Joncar, at the base of the cliff immediately next to the spring; a discreet uphill trail from the spring leads to the cave.

Descrizione

Morfologia

A cave of habitable dimensions structured on two levels, in which, taking advantage of the large blocks fallen from the outer ceiling, there is a shelter-like enclosure inside and on a lower level.

Inside the inner chamber there is a flat stone platform and a possible test pit for archaeological remains centred in the chamber.

Storia

In August 2021 Jordi Navarro and Montse Mañosa (Centre Excursionista Castellar) visited it and carried out the survey.
