Caratteristiche

Località

At kilometre 2 of the BP-2126 road we find Les Cases Noves; from here a road leads to Font-rubí. Before reaching it, we turn right onto a track that passes through Mas Vallet. Once past the whole of Mas, we follow the track for 900 metres; on the right we find a turn-off that we follow until we find an esplanade on the right where there is a pile of gravel and, beside it, sunken, we find the mouth of the cave.

Descrizione

Morfologia

It is an artificial cavity, probably enlarged from some small natural conduit. The entrance leads into a kind of chamber. From this chamber, a wide conduit continues for a few metres and ends.

Concrezioni

In the chamber we find columns of the same material as the rest of the cave, intended to prevent the roof from collapsing.

Storia

It seems that in the 18th and 19th centuries gravel was extracted from it for the construction of Mas Vallet.
