About Km 1.5 on the B112 road from Collbató, we will take the turn-off towards the coves del Salnitre; after 450 m we will leave the vehicle beside the Salut recreational area.

The cave is located 40 m to the NW of the services building of the Salut recreational area and is visible from some point of the recreational area itself. It will be necessary to cross to the other side of the stream and climb a small slope to reach the base of the cave.

Morfologia

Small cave structured on two levels. The lower level, more spacious and habitable, has in turn a small ascending crawlway hidden behind a group of blocks and small ledges; the crawlway progressively reduces in size until it becomes impassable.

Storia

Cavity unrecorded in speleological catalogues.

Within the school activities carried out at the coves del Salnitre, the monitors hide in this small cave the “blunderbuss that Mansuet lost” and the students have to find it.
