Località

In the municipality of Olesa de Bonesvalls. On entering the village we find the town hall building; you must take the street on the right that climbs up to the water tanks. From here a track (camí de Can Prunera) starts, which we follow until we find the Fondo de Matabous. We continue along the track on the right that runs parallel to the hollow until we reach the point where the Fondo de Matabous meets a stream that comes from the right. On the other side of this stream a path starts which, zigzagging for some 200 metres, brings us to the entrance of the cavity, having previously passed by the remains of some huts.

Descrizione

Morfologia

A 4 X 2 metre entrance leads us to a 41-metre-deep vertical drop, which widens as it descends. The floor slopes towards the SW, where -45 metres is reached. At the bottom of the pothole, on the E side, we find a crawl that allows us to reach a tiny chamber.

Storia

Known for ever; indeed the entrance of the cavity is located in the middle of old cultivation terraces. The first exploration is attributed to Mossèn Font i Sagué.
