Description

Morphology

An entrance of a little more than one metre followed by a descending gallery of 19 metres. Its floor is full of blocks and ends in a room of 8 x 10 metres with a 45º slope. At the lowest point of the room a very narrow shaft opens which at 5 metres is occupied by water.

Other details

A few metres further on, just after crossing the bridge over the barranc de riu Merler, and a few metres to the left, a huge fallen block can be seen; this is the balma de Riu Merler, where some archaeological remains were found, but with no speleological interest whatsoever.

History

First explored by the CMB in 1936 without reaching the room. In 1965 members of the GES of the CMB managed to get past the passage that gives access to the room.
