Location

It is located on the hydrographic left bank of the Muga river, right at the junction of the Albanyà road with the Can Badosa track, visible from the bridge that crosses the river at this point. Approximate coordinates.

Description

Morphology

It is an artificial cavity, where the drill marks are visible. The conduit has an access at each end.

Hydrology

The purpose of this mine was to carry the water that was collected in a weir on the Muga, crossed the Mal Pas crag and brought it to a flat area located below the square of Albanyà to feed a forge of which no vestiges now remain.

Other details

The reason for including it in the catalogue despite being an artificial cavity is that it has always been included in all preceding speleological catalogues.

History

In 1975 it was already described and surveyed by members of the ERE of the CEC and of the CE d'Olot.
