Location

From the small village of Son and along a track of about 8 kilometres one arrives very close to the refugi del Pla de la Font (property of the Parc Nacional d'Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici). From the refuge we will follow the itinerary that leads to the summit of pic del Pinetó. Before arriving, we will find an area of relatively gentle slope (lo Planell) where outcrops of marbled limestone can be seen among the meadows. In one of the outcrops situated higher up, the mouth of the cavity opens, almost at the boundary with the municipality of Sort.

Description

Morphology

The mouth opens in the ground and one must descend a small step that places us in a gallery about 12 m long, flatter and of comfortable dimensions. The rock (marbled limestone) appears bare, heavily eroded and fractured.
