Description
Morphology
The cave is a simple tunnel that crosses the ridge from side to side. The South portal is located 6 metres higher than the North portal. The North portal is about 4 metres high by 2 metres wide.
Hydrology
A strong air current circulates through the whole cavity from South to North, becoming violent in the narrowest and lowest section.
Progression
Entry is through the North portal, the easier access, which is located at the top of a very steep grass slope. The other mouth opens in the cliff. The North portal follows a slightly descending gallery 9 metres long and about 3-4 metres high. It continues through an ascending section with a low ceiling that leads into a larger gallery, with a steep slope and about 13 metres long. It then narrows and turns to the left until reaching the highest point of the cavity (+ 8 m), a few metres before arriving at a descending slope to the South mouth.
History
Discovered and explored on 9 August 1979 by three members of the SS Plantaurel.
