Location

From the Coll de Comiols, take the L-911 road on the left towards Sant Salvador de Toló. Before the first kilometre, turn off to the left onto a track in good condition; after one kilometre and one hundred metres there is a turn-off to the left leading to the Casa Blanca. About 500 m later, turn off to the left (Camí de Boixegar) to enter the area known as Lo Clot de Joan Pere. Throughout this sector there are a series of collapses and fissures, all of them of little development. This hole is located about a hundred metres to the right of the path, facing West, already within the hamlet of Montadó belonging to Isona (Pallars Jussà).

Description

Morphology

It is an elongated fissure with a drop of about 3 m. At the E end of its bottom, the width of the fissure becomes a very narrow passage.

Progression

At the E end of the bottom, the width of the fissure becomes a very narrow passage that allows a vertical descent, with great difficulty, of about 5 m more until it becomes completely closed.

History

Located in early December 2022 by Josep Guarro and Joan C. Juderías (PROTEUS) following an initial “prospecting” on the LIDAR map. Two weeks later, together with other colleagues from the PROTEUS group, they explored this and others in the area.
