Characteristics

Location

At the Santuari de Lourdes, in la Nou de Berguedà, take the track heading towards Vilada. After about 2 kilometres, in the middle of a dense forest, leave the car and go down to the right, in the direction of travel. A stream must be crossed and a small hill climbed. About 100 metres further on, on the left bank of the barranc de les Oliveres, is the small entrance of the cavity. Difficult to locate.

Coordinates are only indicative of the area where the cavity should approximately be found.

Description

Morphology

The small entrance leads to a drop of about 2 metres, easily down-climbed. A descending gallery leads to another drop, and although this one is 4 metres, it is also easily down-climbed. Thus one reaches a final small chamber, very chaotic. In several places the existence of a lower level of very reduced dimensions and totally impenetrable can be observed.

History

The only data we know about this cavity are those provided by members of the Grup Espeleològic Pedraforca (AEP) of Barcelona, who explored and surveyed it on 21 January 1989.
