Description

Morphology

Excavated along a bedding plane that originally must have presented a regular horizontal structure. The good quality of the rock made it possible to excavate along the same plane following a regular erosion and keeping the outer part of the mouth with the same proportions as inside.

The dip of the strata steepens to 50º, and as a consequence the western part of the rock shelter presents a pronounced downward slope below ground level. The W end is thus buried, making it difficult to study the complete morphology and the exact length of the shelter.

Speleothems

A characteristic limestone column divides the mouth into two sections.

History

The only data we know are those made known by members of the GE Badalona who explored and surveyed it in 1995.
