Description
Morphology
The cavity has a length of 24 metres. The entrance mouth is 0.50 metres wide and 5.70 metres high. At two metres there is a pit on the right of the fissure, a narrow joint that reaches -12 metres of vertical drop with a width of between 0.30 and 0.50 metres. If one goes straight on, after the aforementioned two metres, there is a small platform 0.60 metres long by 0.40 metres wide, made of wedged blocks. From this platform one can progress 6 metres further horizontally. The joint becomes impassable after 3.60 metres, at which point the width is 0.30 metres and the height is 4.70 metres.
Hydrology
At the bottom of the fissure a murmur of water can be heard, probably seepage from the nearby reservoir.
Progression
Access is gained by passing the wire mesh retaining the scree on the wall. At two metres there is a pit on the right of the fissure, where a slip can be dangerous. If one goes straight on, after the aforementioned two metres, one finds an R+2 and a small platform 0.60 metres long by 0.40 metres wide, made of wedged blocks. Here one again loses foothold and the fissure descends until it meets the one described above. From this platform one can progress 6 metres further horizontally.
Other details
The cavity was opened to the outside when the widening works of the Terradets road were carried out.
History
Cavity explored by the GELL in 1992. The GE Badalona explores and surveys it again in 2012. Very close to this cavity was the cova de l'Orella or de la Carretera, 58 metres long, which was destroyed by the same works that brought this cavity to light.
