Characteristics

Location

On the TV-7044 road going from La Riba to the Pinetell, at the height of the Molí de la Font Gran and just below the Campament Juvenil, we find a prepared parking place. On the right side of the road there is a path that descends to the Brugent river, at this point almost always dry; it must be crossed and the path followed in the direction of the cliff. Soon we will find a junction: the right one goes to la Riba and to the cova Cartanyà, while the left one, which is the one we must follow, heads to the climbing routes of the Cingle dels Pins Alts and to the Penya Roja. Shortly after we will find a new junction: the left one leads to the climbing routes of the Cingle dels Pins Alts, so we will keep to the right in the direction of the Penya Roja. Once we have reached it, we find a small flat area where, on the left of the path, the mouth of the avenc dels Tres (pit of the Tres) Grans opens. We will follow the path about thirty metres further and turn off to the left of the path about 30 metres, through a flat area with plenty of vegetation until we reach the N part of the Penya Roja where we will find the main access, and about 3 metres to the right a second, narrower access that leads us to a lower conduit.
