Description
Morphology
It is a large rock shelter beneath a rock overhang about 40 metres high. Over time, the water of the stream has been tearing material from the base and shaping the surroundings. Today the stream passes about five metres below the cave.
Progression
The best way to reach it is by canyoning. From the hamlet of Canalda, we will follow the path to the house of Vall-llonga; from there we will go down along a small path down the rasa to the Canalda stream, and following the stream we will find a 3-metre slide, well soaked, two plunge pools and a great chaos of gigantic blocks through which the water seeps in the middle, making a 10-metre rappel in a place of great beauty. From here we will find two more plunge pools, and in about five minutes we will reach the confluence with the Grau stream, which comes in from the left. From here we can already see the great overhang of the cave.
Through a small hole at the foot of the wall, we can enter lying down for about thirty metres beneath the great rock, taking advantage of a dismantled marly stratum between the conglomerate.
